A few days ago, Travel + Leisure published an article on the most underrated places in the world to visit.
Near the top of that list was a country where Body Mind Spirit Journeys has been sending tour groups for ten years – Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Travel + Leisure quoted travelers who had visited recently: “The landscapes were awesome, there is so much history, and the people were the nicest I’ve experienced in the Balkans. In fact, I experienced the best customer service I’ve ever had out of any country.” Bosnia’s fine, affordable food was also mentioned.
One of the cities, Mostar, is older than history itself. Occupied since pre-historic times, Mostar is the former capital of Herzegovina, and is now the country’s fifth largest city.
The first record mentioning Mostar was written in 1474. In 1566, Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent ordered a stone bridge to be built across Mostar’s Neretva river. That “Old” bridge (photo above) is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Mostar is just one of the “bucket-list” sites you can see in our June, 2026 Bosnia Tour. The seven-day program is hosted by Dr. Sam Osmanagich, Ph.D., the discoverer of the Bosnian Pyramids Complex, and tours of important Pyramid sites are featured.
In addition to Dr. Sam, there are also nine guest hosts who are experts on such topics as Sacred Geometry, Forbidden Archaeology, Esoterics, Nuclear Physics, Bioarchitecture and Sacred Spaces.
Besides the Mostar Old Bridge, the Optional June 21-24 Post Tour also includes:
- Mysterious Stone Spheres in Zavidovići
- Old Towns of Konjic and Mostar
- Megalithic walls of Daorson
