Egypt Tour Price Reduction Announced

One of many positive changes that the recent revolution in Egypt has brought about is a new and improved spirit of cooperation. Some of the finest hotels in the country are now more willing to be flexible to attract visitors from abroad. This flexibility has enabled Body Mind Spirit Journeys to get a better hotel rate so the price of the October Egypt tour could be lowered by $600.

The group’s accommodations in Cairo will be at the Barcelo Cario Pyramids hotel. This modern, new hotel is located on Pyramids Road, one of the Middle East’s most legendary streets. It truly is an ideal place from which to discover Cairo because it is situated so close to the center of the city, the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx.

There are three restaurants and three bars. On the 12th floor, the Horus restaurant serves international cuisine on a terrace with spectacular panoramic views of the three Pyramids. Other amenities include a spa with a gym, massage rooms, sauna and steam bath.

Hosted by Egyptologist Stephen S. Mehler and Shahrzad Awyan, the “Journey to the Land of Ancient Wisdom and Mysteries” departs October 15th and continues through October 28th, 2011. Click here to see the full Egypt Tour Itinerary.

U.S. Embassy in Cairo Back to Normal

Egypt toursFurther confirmation that it is safe to travel to Egypt has now been received from Washington, D.C. The American embassy in Cairo, Egypt has resumed its normal operations. An official statement issued by the U.S. State Department added further, “The security situation in Luxor, Aswan, and the Red Sea Resorts, including Sharm el Sheikh, continues to be calm.”

This backs up a statement from Stephen Mehler a short time ago that the ancient archaeological sites were back open, and there seemed to be a new spirit of cooperation and welcome from the Egyptians. All airports in Egypt are also now back to regular operations.

The Body Mind Spirit Journeys spiritual tour of Egypt, led by Stephen Mehler and Shahrzad Awyan is happening October 15 through 28, 2011 and there are still some spaces left for those who wish to join the group. Click here to go to the October Egypt Tour intinerary web page.

The U.S. Embassy in Egypt is located at 5 Tawfik Diab Street (formerly known as Latin America Street), Garden City, Cairo. It is open for all routine services for American citizens by appointment. U.S. citizens who require emergency assistance do not need an appointment.

The Egyptian government curfew is still in effect between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. and the State Department is requesting that Americans respect it and stay indoors during these hours.
