Two Tours Celebrate 12/12/12 at Lake Titicaca

Aramu Muru's Golden Solar DiscMost numerologists agree December 12, 2012 will be a day of great significance, and Body Mind Spirit Journeys is offering two different programs that share the same experience on 12/12/12, a ceremony at Peru’s Lake Titicaca.

This location, according to legend, is where the great golden disc of Aramu Muru was hidden. Also known as the Solar Disc, it is said to have been brought to Peru from Lemuria prior to its sinking. It was like a powerful computer, capable of accessing cosmic wisdom. The ceremony to be held on 12-12-12 will take place at the beach of the island of Taquile. Its intent is to re-activate the Solar Disc and enable participants to connect with their Inner Sun.

One of the tours is led by Jorge Luis Delgado, an Andean shaman, mystic and healer. The December 8 – 14 basic program includes the Lake Titicaca and Chucuito area, and there is an extension to Machu Picchu, Cusco and the Sacred Valley that runs through to December 22nd.

Spiritual counselor Carolina Hehenkamp leads a December 7 – 18 itinerary that features sacred sites in Peru and Bolivia, with two Mexico extensions. A Yucatan extension to Izamal, Uxmal and Chichen Itza concludes December 23rd, and an optional Playa del Carmen vacation runs through to December 28th.

Both programs also include the opportunity to explore one of the most mysterious places I have ever experienced, the Aramu Muru doorway (or Portal) near Lake Titicaca. It is located near a site known as the Valley of the Spirits and is surrounded by ancient rock formations that are shaped like creatures from ancient mythology: condor, puma, snake, caterpillar and butterfly. Some say they were sculpted tens of thousands of years ago when an ancient mystery school was located there, while others say the shapes were simply made by natural erosion.

Aramu Muru Doorway near Lake Titicaca

A spiritual tour of Peru will feature one of the most mysterious sacred places near Lake Titicaca, the legendary Aramu Muru Doorway, with a ceremony on November 11, 2011 — the auspicious date of 11/11/11. The tour leader, Jorge Luis Delgado is the person who led me to the Aramu Muru portal on my first visit to Peru. Jorge Luis is a native of the Lake Titicaca area. He trained with local Kallahuayas shamans, Q’ero Elders from near Cusco and other specialists in traditional Peruvian spiritual rituals.

It was Jorge Luis who, in a series of visions, was led to “discover” the portal. Jorge Luis is among those who believe we are now entering an era of important worldwide change. He is among the wisdom keepers, priests, elders and other spiritual leaders who will be participating in a ceremony on 11/11/11 to activate its energy and open the inter-dimensional portal.

On my visit to explore this fascinating, sacred site, I was told the legend of how Aramu Muru was one of the last great lords to escape when Lemuria was submerged about 15,000 years ago. He is said to have brought with him the miraculous Solar Disk which, for a while, was in the Koricancha in Cusco, Peru, but was later taken to the Monastery of the Seven Rays near Lake Titicaca.

The doorway is carved into a stone wall that faces east toward the lake as well as more distant, snow-capped mountains, the Apus of legend. Two vertical channels flank the doorway. I was reminded of similar ancient Inka carvings at Sacsayhuaman. Besides the portal itself, I marveled at strange rock formations nearby. They resemble humans and various animals, but are so weathered it is hard to know whether or not they were shaped by human hands. Some believe the area was the location for an ancient mystery school, where teachings from Lemuria were preserved and shared.

The tour that includes a visit to the Uros Floating Island in Lake Titicaca as well as the ceremony to open the portal at the Aramu Muru Doorway is now available from Body Mind Spirit Journeys. Go to the Aramu Muru Doorway Tour web page.
