Redbook just published their list of the 30 most beautiful cities in the world, and five of them are in the United States. The four runner-ups were San Francisco, Sedona, Charleston and Chicago. Can you guess which city came out on top?
Santa Fe, New Mexico.
They wrote, “Santa Fe is famous for its adobe architecture, art galleries, and museums (the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is a must), not to mention its delicious Southwestern cuisine. The city also has a growing farm-to-table scene and countless spots for margaritas. Plus, its high desert landscape, especially scenic at sunset, is perfect for hiking.”
It should not come as a surprise, therefore, that Kathleen McGowan picked Santa Fe as the location for her 10th annual Magdalene Movement retreat. (She chose it many months before the Redbook story came out.)
For the first time ever, bestselling author Kathleen McGowan will be teaching actual prayer and meditational practices that are at the heart of The Way of Love, and derive from ancient Magdalene mystery traditions.
And it all happens December 1 – 4, 2023 at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
In addition to Kathleen’s Magdalene workshops, attendees will also venture out on a special trip to Georgia O’Keefe’s beloved Ghost Ranch.
There’s also an optional three-day post-retreat tour that will show you much more of the spectacular Santa Fe region including…
- Visit Nambe Trading Post and Museum, with Southwest jewelry, pottery, weaving and Zuni katsinas.
- Santa Fe city walking tour plus cooking school
- Tour the Pueblo Puye Cliff Dwellings
- An aromatherapy and essential oil workshop
- Visit Santa Ana Pueblo, Jemez Pueblo and Chaco Culture National Historic Park
There are only a few spaces still open, so it is recommended you register soon to avoid missing out.
