Bestselling author Kathleen McGowan will be hosting three group tours in 2016. The “Mary Magdalene” tour of Sacred France is sold out. Her June “Sacred Ireland” tour also sold out very quickly, but due to cancellations, two openings recently became available and Body Mind Spirit Journeys will be filling them on a first-come-first-served basis. Because her first Ireland program filled up almost instantly (mostly to her “alumni” – travelers who had participated in Kathleen’s previous tours) and the general public had only a very limited opportunity to sign up, she decided to offer one more. Her September Ireland tour features a special event on the Autumnal Equinox.
A few days ago, Kathleen revealed to her Facebook group that this Fall’s Ireland tour may be the last group travel experience she leads. Because her list of yet-to-be-written books continues to expand, as do her television appearances on programs such as Ancient Aliens, Ms McGowan feels it may be time to step back and reduce her agenda of other commitments such as leading tour groups.
What that means is that anyone who wants to be guaranteed the opportunity to travel with Kathleen would be well advised to register for her September 18 – 28 tour of Ireland. In addition to the Autumn Equinox celebration on the Isle of Inishmore, there will be visits to: Dingle Peninsula, Blasket Islands Heritage Center, The Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Knocknarea, Glencar Waterfall, Hazelwood Demesne, Tobernalt Holy Well, Loughcrew Cairns, the Hill of Slane, Bru Na Bóinne, Newgrange, Knowth, Pulnabrone Dolmen and Kylemore Abbey.
Other highlights of the program include a tour of the Aran Islands, a ferry ride across the Shannon, a ride in a horse-drawn jaunting cart, an afternoon at Bunratty Folk Park, a visit to the dramatic Cliffs of Moher, and a farewell dinner with special surprises that have not yet been announced.
Ireland is a place where Kathleen has lived. She loves it, and she is excited to share it with those who also feel its magical attraction. That being said, the fact that this may be the last time she offers this kind of journey to her ancestral homeland makes the opportunity even more rare.
