Two weeks ago, when I wrote about Graham Hancock and his Netflix series that challenged traditional historians and archaeologists, I neglected to mention another researcher in the same field. Not only is Cliff Dunning renowned for his Earth Ancients podcasts that reveal startling discoveries around the world, he also leads some of our tours at Body Mind Spirit Journeys.
A few days ago, Cliff posted a photo on Facebook that caught my attention. It shows him standing in front of one of the enormous, megalithic stones at Avebury, England. Avebury is less than 20 miles away from Stonehenge, and is a much larger and grander set of stone circles, yet it’s nowhere near as famous.
I’ve done a lot of research on Avebury over the years, but I was shocked to read what Cliff said, following his visit last November. The host who showed Cliff around believes Avebury was originally built as a communication device, involving sophisticated technology that was known by our ancient ancestors, but has since been lost.
One of Cliff’s followers suggested that Avebury was a gateway into other dimensions. Could that be why hundreds of stones, some weighing more than 10 tons, were moved from a quarry nearly 10 miles away and carefully positioned in three concentric circles?
