Those of us who walk with Mary Magdalene already know her as a spiritual teacher, a mystic, and the one who remained when others fled. But what many do not yet know is that her wisdom survived, quietly passed down in sacred lineages, in the land where she lived and taught after the crucifixion: the region of Aude in southern Occitania, France.

There, among a people later known as the Cathars, her teachings were preserved not in doctrine or stone, but in practice. Hidden within its lines was a structure of six mystical gates or initiations that could open the seeker to profound transformation. This sacred structure is known as the Magdalene Rose Path, and it is the key to aligning with your soul’s purpose and personal power.

Kathleen published her first book introducing this subject in 2010, The Source of Miracles.  Now, 15 years later, comes the continuation of this rich journey in Secrets of the Magdalene Rose, with more emphasis on the teachings of Magdalene and the Cathars, and including some more ancient origins stretching back to the Egyptian mysteries. This will be the first time Kathleen teaches some of this material outside of France.

Secrets of the Magdalene Rose includes new teachings on the power of vocal vibration in prayer and manifestation practices, with examples from ancient Egypt through to early Christianity. Joining Kathleen to demonstrate the power of sound and provide frequency-moving examples is Master Music Healer Jeremiah da Rosa.  Further, we will experience what just may be the most famous and impactful sound bath in the world at the extraordinary Integratron as we continue to evolve and raise our vibrations to a new level of alignment and resonance with our soul’s journey and mission.

This is hands on, interactive soul work, and we will explore the Magdalene traditions with new approaches to prayer and meditation, including vocalization practices. Kathleen will provide you with a series of new prayers and practices for your continuing journey. We will visit an organic essential oil workshop and create our  own anointing oils with a group of amazing women devoted to the ancient practices.

Kathleen McGowan
The author of the New York Times and globally best-selling book series, The Magdalene Line, Kathleen McGowan has sold over a million books across approximately 100 countries and 40 languages. An expert in both women’s history and ancient mysteries, she frequently appears as an on-air expert in historical, biblical and ancient mysteries for multiple History Channel shows. Her groundbreaking research into the life and legacy of Mary Magdalene has appeared on shows in the US and abroad. Kathleen McGowan is currently compiling thirty years and several thousand pages of research into her forthcoming books on Mary Magdalene’s life in France and how this one woman changed the face of the Western World. Part of this great legacy is an ancient process for manifesting a joyful and fulfilling life which Kathleen shares in her forthcoming books, Secrets of The Magdalene Rose and Sacred Union, Sovereign Heart.  She is also working on several books of ancient Egyptian interest and new fiction for 2026.

Special Guest Jeremiah da Rosa
Jeremiah da Rosa is a Juilliard-trained, world-class musician who has evolved into a master-level sound healer. After years of performing internationally, he answered a deeper calling: to use his voice and vibration to facilitate profound transformation and awaken others to their gifts. Jeremiah is sought after to initiate healers and seekers into the Temple of Sound: a lineage and living mystery school of sonic wisdom.   He lives by the truth that sound is the first law of manifestation. Jeremiah studies the Egyptian and Magdalene mysteries with Kathleen McGowan onsite in France and Egypt.

RETREAT PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Day 1, Friday, December 5: Retreat Starts (D)
Arrival on your own to your reserved accommodations in Palm Springs at nearby Rancho Las Palmas (Shuttle & transfer information will be given with confirmation). Time to refresh yourself before your welcome dinner with wine, a program overview for the weekend by Kathleen and the preliminaries of the workshop.

Day 2, Saturday, December 6: Retreat Continues. Morning workshop. Afternoon tour to Joshua Tree Retreat Vortex and Labyrinth (B/D)
We will all join for breakfast and a morning of workshops and discussions. Kathleen will give a presentation on The Magdalane Lineage and how the teachings survived for 2000 years, followed by an interactive workshop for understanding the six gates of The Magdalene Rose. You will be provided with prayers and ritual suggestions for each of the six gateways/petals to take with you for continuing practice on your journey. Material from the new book, never taught before in public, will be introduced for the very first time!

After lunch on our own, we will board our coach for th4r short drive to the Joshua Tree Retreat to unlock the power of natural energy flows at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center, home to unique vortices (vortexes) that offer a profound and transformative experience. Nestled amidst the scenic desert landscapes, these vortices provide a sacred space for spiritual seekers to connect with the Earth’s energy and embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing. Here you’ll encounter these special vortices, each with their own energetic signature. These natural energy flows have long been revered for their ability to enhance meditation, mindfulness practices, and overall well-being. By immersing yourself in the powerful energy of these vortices, you can rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul. Whether you choose to meditate in the presence of a vortex or simply bask in its energy, the experience is sure to ignite a sense of wonder and awe. Surrender yourself to the Earth’s natural rhythms as you tap into the universal life force that permeates every corner of the Retreat Center. Allow the energy of the vortices to guide you on your spiritual journey and unlock the profound insights and healing that await. Also, take time to visit the Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinth. Walking the labyrinth is said to balance activity between right and left-brain waves. It is also a form of walking meditation. The classic Seven Circuit Labyrinth design can be found on every continent pre-dating recorded history. The Labyrinth was constructed in early 2000 and the chosen site is an energy vortex. Return to our hotel in the late afternoon followed by dinner at our hotel.

Day 3, Sunday, December 7: Morning. Our Retreat Continues. In the afternoon, it’s to a Sound Bath Experience (B/D)
After breakfast, Kathleen will begin the “Invocation” aspect of the retreat, where the power of sound becomes literally instrumental in our practices.  The magic word “abracadabra” means “I create as I speak” and we will go deep into this concept, including an aspect of it which was used by the early Gnostic Christians and the Cathars! Jeremiah will demonstrate aspects of sound healing and manifestation using his voice and teach us how to find our own vocal vibration.

After lunch on our own, we board our coach to take us to a unique event to understand the proven healing properties of sound. This will be an unforgettable experience for those who seek deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and introspection. You will be resting comfortably in the deep resonant, multi-wave sound chamber while a sequence of quartz crystal bowls are played. Each bowl is keyed to the energy centers or chakras of the body, where sound is nutrition for the nervous system. The results are waves of peace, heightened awareness and relaxation of the mind and body. The Sound Baths are 60-minute sonic-healing sessions that consist of:

• A brief introduction to Integration, its history and sound qualities
• 35 to 40 minutes of 22 quartz crystal singing bowls played live.
• The balance of the hour will be to integrate the sound & relax in the sound chamber with ambient music.

After our session, we return to our hotel for dinner followed by a bit of time with a glass of wine with Kathleen while Jeremiah serenades us with multiple instruments and songs about the women of the Magdalene Lineage!

Day 4- Monday, December 8: Retreat Ends Or stay for an available Optional Tour (B)

Monday, December 8: Visit to Tahquitz Canyon.(B/D)
Following breakfast at our hotel it’s onto Tahquitz Canyon. Tahquitz Canyon is one of the most beautiful and culturally sensitive areas of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Reservation. The Canyon is home to a spectacular seasonal 60-foot waterfall, rock art, ancient irrigation systems, native wildlife and plants.  We will spend some time at the Visitor Center that offers a display of artifacts, an observation deck and a theater room for us to view The Legend of Tahquitz video. We will also meet a local Indigenous person who will give a talk followed by a short nature walk in the Canyon.  In the afternoon, our coach takes us back to our hotel for some free relaxing time to refresh before dinner.

Tuesday, December 9: In Palm Springs. Special Working Session with Kathleen (B/D)
Today for the first time ever, Kathleen will teach an introduction to the nature of Hieros-Gamos, the Sacred Marriage of the Masculine and Feminine aspects of the soul and self.  Over the last twenty years, this has been her most requested subject for advanced teaching, and in 2026 she will release a book on this subject: Sacred Union, Sovereign Heart: The Magdalene Path of Loving Yourself and Others.  It contains secrets teachings from the Book of Love, some of which she will be sharing in this workshop.

Kathleen will cover the importance of balancing the masculine and feminine properties within ourselves and then how to apply those practices to our external relationships.  She will talk about attracting soul-based partnerships and friendships – without the drama and karma. As we move into a new era, all our relationships must also evolve in a way that is aligned, balanced and filled with joy and abundance.  This workshop will give you the tools to clear the way for loving, fulfilling relationships in all areas of your life.
