After a 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck northeast India and Nepal last week, some people have been concerned that the area near Dharamsala where our “Tibetan Path in India” tour will be going October 21 through November 7 may have been affected. Happily, it was not. Although there was damage in Kathmandu and in India’s Sikkim state, the tremors did not affect the areas in Macleod Ganj or Delhi where our tour is happening.
When tour host Lisa Tully heard about the recent and incredibly unfortunate earthquakes, she phoned her contacts in Dharamsala as well as the embassy in India. She was relieved to discover that the area where her tour is run was not impacted. Life continjes to bustle on as normal both in Delhi and Dharamsala,” she said. Lisa also added her request to “…please send some love and support in whatever way you do to the poor people in the far Northern parts who have been impacted.”
