SACRED SECRETS of EGYPT:

Hosted by Kathleen McGowan
With Nasser Soliman & Egyptologist Dr. Adam Abdelaziz
and Jeremiah da Rosa – Master Sound Healer
FEBRUARY 15-27, 2025
With Optional PRE-TOUR Extension to Giza February 12-15
With Optional POST-TOUR Extension to Luxor February 27-March 3
Join international bestselling author Kathleen McGowan inside her stunning research into the secrets and stories of Ancient Egypt, where she has been traveling for over 30 years. Working beside her is her husband, Nasser, an extraordinary, indigenous Egyptian teacher and healer from legendary Abydos, and Dr Adam Abdelaziz, another Abydos native with multiple degrees in Egyptology. Together they have planned a journey of rich experiences in history and archaeology combined with deep spiritual teachings. A focus on the union of the Divine Feminine and Sacred Masculine and how this leads to personal transformation is a theme of our private experiences in some of the most transformational chambers and temples in the world.
To the ancient Egyptian (“Kemetic”) people the Nile was a representation of the Milky Way galaxy: the temples and pyramids are aligned with specific stars and constellations, and beneath them run the powerful energetic ley lines of the land. These stunning structures harness the energy of the earth as well as the stars, but also bring heaven and earth together in perfect harmony – this is brilliantly illustrated on the walls of the temples and within the stories of the gods. As they were creating a harmonious, lush paradise on earth, the ancient Kemetic people were also using the left and the right hemispheres of the brain to create megalithic marvels, blending the heart, spirit, and mind together into one, and revering the divine masculine and feminine forces within themselves – as well as in all of creation.
The energy of these temples is as powerful and transformational as ever. Following the path of the Milky Way, we will be working with the temple energies on the levels of body, mind and spirit. The river is our partner, the carrier of our intentions and our energy into the new world that we are creating through integrating new energies and understandings – a new spiritual ascension.
Along the way you will be treated to myriad pleasures: guided meditations and integration sessions, Sound Baths, storytelling, dining under the stars on private islands in the Nile, swimming in fresh Nile water. All activities are optional, and there is also plenty of time on the Nile to just relax, assimilate and enjoy.
You will be pampered like a pharaoh in our atmospheric “dahabiyas” – sailing boats with private chefs – and experience authentic Nubian culture and an ecovillage on a private island in Aswan.
We have curated exclusive, intensive experiences in some of the most significant locations in Egypt: We will thrill to the sunrise over the incomparably beautiful Temple of Isis in Philae, and we will experience a very special journey into the Osirion in Abydos – possibly the oldest temple on the planet – to connect with the Sacred Geometry of the Flower of Life and understand the union of masculine and feminine energies in a completely unique way. Our in-depth exploration in holy Abydos continues with time in the Temple of Seti to experience the energies of the Seven Shrines.
New this year, we will experience an in-depth experience in the powerful dual temple of Kom Ombo, with its dedication to the crocodile neter Sobek and the falcon-headed Horus. “Neter” is the word Egyptians used, which is closer to the meaning of “force of nature.” Sobek represents the subconscious and our internal depths, whereas Horus represents our consciousness as it seeks to rise and elevate us. Sobek assists us in offering up what needs to be cleansed while Horus guides us to heal it. Private time at sunrise in Kom Ombo will follow a day of preparation on the Nile for this experience.
As we continue to cruise down the Nile we will also experience the great temple of Horus at Edfu, where a sacred reunion of Divine Feminine and Sacred Masculine happened annually between Horus and the goddess Hathor; Outside of Edfu we venture into the desert to visit the small but intense shrines of Thoth and a uniquely powerful protectoress of Upper Egypt, the goddess Nekhbet-Hathor.
In unparalleled Luxor, the ancient Egyptian capital of Thebes, we visit the magical and enigmatic Temple of Man in the moonlight. We experience two different meditations with the great divine feminine energies of Sekhmet, both as warrior and as mother, at magnificent Karnak Temple before experiencing this largest temple in the world for two private hours. We experience two different meditations with the great divine feminine energies of Sekhmet, both as warrior and as mother, at magnificent Karnak Temple before experiencing this largest temple on the world for two private hours. We explore the power of Hathor at gorgeous Dendera where we spend the majority of a day to experience as much as possible in her halls of wisdom. All of this happens under the care of professional Egyptian guides and hosts, a renowned author and world-class storyteller, and a staff committed to your highest experience. This what makes traveling with Kathleen on a Body Mind Spirit Journey – and sharing it with others of like mind and consciousness – absolutely life-changing.

INTENSIVE TEMPLE TOUR ITINERARY – February 15-27
Day 1-Saturday, February 15: Arrival in Cairo (D)
Arrival on your own at Cairo International Airport, where you will find our representative waiting to assist you with the formalities, drive you to our hotel and help you check-in to your airport room. Time to rest before our Welcome to Egypt dinner with Kathleen & the team at our hotel.
Note: Please try to arrive before 2 pm so you will have time to get to your hotel in time for dinner with Kathleen. Prenights are available if you prefer to arrive a day earlier.
Day 2- Sunday, February 16: To Aswan. Visit Nubian Village (B/L/D)
We transfer to the airport for our early morning flight to Aswan. On arrival, we are escorted to our island hotel where we will have breakfast. Time to rest after breakfast, enjoy our private beach and/or swim in the Nile! In the afternoon we spend the balance of the day immersed in the rich and colorful Nubian culture where we experience their lively village and have lunch at a local restaurant. Evening discussion/meditation on the beach where Kathleen and Nasser discuss and demonstrate anointing rituals from ancient times. Dinner at our hotel.
Day 3- Monday, February 17: In Aswan. Philae @ Sunrise Privately (B/L/D)
We awaken early for our private time at the spectacular Temple of Isis on the island of Philae. Sunrise ceremony connects us to the ancient energies of this magnificent mother goddess and her unparalleled magic. Explore the temple complex in the golden light of dawn! Back to our hotel for breakfast and the balance of the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, we visit the magical island of Kalabsha with its temple to an Aswan sun god, which also contains a trinity of gods where the Divine Child is female. Dinner this evening at our hotel.
Day 4- Tuesday, February18: Elephantine Island and start our cruise to Kom Ombo (B/L/D)
After breakfast we take a quick boat trip to fascinating Elephantine Island, where there are thousands of years and layers of spiritual history. We visit the temple of Satet, a Nile goddess who forms part of a unique trinity with the god Khnum and their daughter Anuket – the trinity with the female child! Documents from 500 BC written here in Aramaic are evidence of a Jewish community and a temple on the island and there is a legend that the Ark of the Covenant was once hidden here. We board our Nile cruise boats for lunch and begin our sail up the river with a stop at fascinating Gebel al-Silsila, a mountainous region with sandstone quarries on both sides of the Nile, used from the Middle Kingdom (c. 2034–1650 BC) until the 20th century. More than a hundred quarries were exploited to extract the sandstone blocks needed to construct many of ancient Egypt’s famous temples. We visit the rock-cut temple called the Speos of Horemheb, dedicated to seven deities whose statues can be seen in its sanctuary. Late afternoon we dock at Kom Ombo and make our first visit there. Dinner discussion on the rites of Kom Ombo in preparation.
Day 5- Wed. Feb. 19: Sunrise in Kom Ombo privately. Afternoon sail to Edfu (B/L/D)
We awaken early for our private time to visit the Temples of Sobek & Horus at Kom Ombo. It is here that the ancient initiates would learn how to digest their fear and anger in accordance with Sobek, the crocodile god. This temple is the only one that’s dedicated to polarity, or duality, and two gods are associated with it: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus. As you face the temple, the right half is dedicated to the subconscious and the left side to the light of consciousness. There is much to “digest” here and we will do so with a ceremony to release all that holds us back. Some free time in Kom Ombo before we set sail for Edfu in time for a special evening Sound & Light presentation. Overnight and dinner onboard.
Day 6- Thurs. Feb. 20: Temple of Edfu, Sailing the Nile, Lecture(s), Dock in Esna (B/L/D)
This morning after breakfast we visit Edfu, the best-preserved temple of the ancient world consecrated to the falcon headed god of kingship, Horus. Here we begin our learning about the ancient ceremony of sacred union, when the goddess Hathor sailed up the Nile to join in union with her beloved, Horus. Their annual reunion was celebrated with a huge festival of love! The walls here are books in stone, and one of the greatest treasures of antiquity, including the “oil room” with recipes for sacred formulas of anointing etched in hieroglyphs. After lunch we venture out into the desert for our exploration of the small but mighty Temples of Thoth and Nekhbet-Hathor, the vulture goddess who played a big role in ancient Egyptian stories as the protector of Upper Egypt. She was loved for looking after the pharaohs and being a symbol of motherly care. In the afternoon we continue our sailing to Esna for our overnight and dinner. Tonight, some storytelling from Kathleen who will also discuss her research into the women who were called the God’s Wives and their massive importance in Egyptian history – and possibly Christian history. Dinner and overnight on the boat.
Day 7- Friday, February 21: In Esna. Sail to Luxor (B/L/D)
Morning walking excursion to the Temple of Esna, which is currently undergoing a major restoration project to revive its stunning color. Dedicated to the Ram-headed god, Khnum, Esna is a powerful place for manifestation! The balance of the morning in Esna is free for independent exploration and shopping. Esna, known as Latopolis in Greek features a local market that provides a look into ancient Egyptian history and culture. Embark on a journey through time and allow your mind to wander as you walk through the quaint lanes of Esna. Each street holds its own tale, woven over thousands of years. Return to the boat for lunch as we sail to ancient Thebes, the modern city of Luxor. In the evening, we will visit Luxor Temple, known as The Temple of Man, to view this magnificent structure under the stars. This beautiful temple was begun on the east bank of the Nile by Amenhotep III, with his wife powerful Queen Tiye, whom he dearly loved. Kathleen is obsessed with Queen Tiye (mother of Akhenaten and grandmother of Tutankhamun) and will happily talk about her emerging outline for a book about this inspirational queen! Return to the boat for our late dinner and overnight.
Day 8- Saturday, Feb. 22: Sekhmet Day, Mut Precinct, Sunset at Karnak Privately (B/L/D)
Today is dedicated to Karnak, the world’s largest temple, and to experiencing the energies of this expansive testimony to the power of the spirit. Once connected to Luxor Temple, two miles away, by a long avenue of Sphinxes (still partially intact), Karnak is dedicated to the Powers of Creation. Karnak is the theater in which humanity plays out its destiny. In the morning we visit the Mut Precinct, where there were once 720 statues of the lion-headed goddess Mut, who is a maternal form of Sekhmet – one extraordinary version of her exists which the ancients believed held her Ka (her spirit). We will later experience the powerful Chapel of Sekhmet in her more active form as the goddess who represents the potent and purifying energies of the sun – listen closely for her message to you. Sekhmet’s name means power, and this will be a powerful day you will never forget. We finish this unequalled day with two hours of private time to watch the sun set in Karnak and explore this temple of eternity entirely as our own!
Day 9- Sunday, February 23: Sail to Qena (B/L/D)
A full day of “R and R” (rest and relaxation), we sail on the Nile to our overnight destination of Qena, a hidden gem along the Nile. Situated on a significant bend of the Nile River, it is our gateway to the Temple of Dendera. Adam and Kathleen are available for questions, and will also talk about the coming days in Dendera and Abydos, and how to prepare for them. Kathleen will tell the fascinating story of Omm Sety, the English woman with past life recall from ancient Egypt, who helped to rebuild the Temple of Abydos from memory! Kathleen has recently appeared on two television programs telling the incredible Omm Sety story, and you will hear it live. The “restful day on the Nile” is always a favorite with our guests!
Day 10- Monday, February 24: In Dendera. Temple of Dendera, Sail toward Abydos (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we visit Dendera, consecrated to Hathor, the great goddess in her role of healer, divine partner, celebrant, and mistress of the cycles of time. This incredible temple is a veritable university of esoteric knowledge. Star maps depicted on the ceilings in this temple, and the famous Dendera Zodiac point to the ancient origins of astrology and superior knowledge of our Solar System. The divine feminine surrounds you in the guise of Hathor and Dendera is the favorite temple of many for its exquisite beauty and energy. We spend extended time here to see as much as possible. After a gorgeous day with the goddess, we head down the Nile toward the place which was holiest to the ancient Egyptians – Abydos. Nile levels permitting, we will dock at Nag Hammadi.
Day 11- Tuesday, February 25: In Abydos, Private Time in the Osirion (B/L/D)
Abydos was s Mecca for the ancient Egyptians – it was a place of necessary pilgrimage due to its sacred nature. The spectacular, megalithic structure known as The Osirion is the heart of Abydos, with its depictions of the Flower of Life on the huge pillars representing eternal life, resurrection, and divine union. It is said that this is the place where the sister-goddesses Isis and Nephthys “re-membered” and restored their brother Osiris following his murder, and it was believed that he was buried here. The Osirion has been described as “built with the most enormous stones that may be seen in Egypt.” We will discuss theories around how deep into antiquity this site may stretch, and why it was considered the most important place in Egypt for thousands of years. Here we celebrate the power of love, through Isis and Osiris, to conquer all obstacles. Following the privileged private time in the Osirion, we return to the Temple of Seti where we can explore the Seven Shrines as well as the “Omm Sety Room” where she communicated with the Pharaoh Seti.
Day 12- Wednesday, February 26: Return to Luxor (B/L/D)
Our last day on the Nile for rest and, assimilation as we sail back to Luxor for our farewell dinner and overnight. Additional programs onboard – teachings and/or “storytime” of the ancient Egyptians for those who can’t get enough.

We start with three nights at the five-star Cairo Fairmont El Nile, with spectacular Nile View Rooms! Connect with the unparalleled, ageless energies of the Great Pyramid during our private entrance into the King’s and Queen’s Chambers. The experience of privileged permission in the King’s Chamber is beyond description and must be experienced to be believed.

Day 2-Thursday, February 13: Museum of Civilization, Sunset at the Sphinx (B/L/D)
After breakfast we visit to the beautiful Egyptian Civilization Museum, NMEC. It is the only museum in Egypt that offers the visitor a general overview of all the different historical periods that encompass Egypt and was the site of the Golden Mummies Procession at its grand opening in 2022. We visit the Royal Mummy Hall where some of history’s most important pharaohs are enshrined, with an emphasis on the great queens who are here. Feel their incredible charisma and power even in death, including Ahmose-Nefertari, who was deified and worshipped as a goddess. After lunch at a local restaurant, we make our way to the Giza Plateau for our first glimpses of the pyramids as we journey to our divine appointment with the Great Sphinx.
Day 3-Friday, February 14: Arrival in Cairo (B/L/D)
Today we have our overview of the astonishing Giza Plateau, and the wonders of the pyramids. We lunch at the 9 Pyramids Lounge, with its legendary view across the plateau. After lunch we enter the Valley Temple which surrounds the Sphinx, a literally impossible feat of architecture. In the evening, our once-in-a-lifetime private experience within the King’s and Queen’s chambers of the Great Pyramid. Unforgettable!
Day 4-Saturday, February 15: Coptic Museum and Coptic Quarter/Cairo Airport Hotel (B/L/D)
We start our day venturing into Old Cairo where we visit the Coptic Museum housing some of the finest collections of Coptic art dating back to Egypt’s Christian era and features of the origin of Coptic Christianity as it evolved from Ancient Egypt. The mosaics and murals are drawn from churches throughout Egypt and the building itself is a work of art. We walk to visit nearby Coptic Churches, where tradition holds the Holy Family rested on its Flight into Egypt. Lunch and transfer to our Airport Hotel, where we will meet the rest of our arriving group today!
Egyptian Intensive Post-Tour Extension – February 27-March 3 West bank of the Nile, Luxor and Valley of the Kings and Queens
For those who are interested in the deepest assimilation of all we have discovered and absorbed on our two-week journey, this is a special opportunity to work with Kathleen and Nasser in a smaller, more intimate setting with a guaranteed one-on-one time. A maximum of 12 people can be accepted for this extension.
The West bank of the Nile is a very special place of ancient energies, temples and the Valleys of the Kings and Queens. The four nights here are designed to supplement your experiences on the main tour, but also time to relax and assimilate within a private retreat center in a very special energetic place, adjacent to the Valley of the Kings and within the sacred mountain. Kathleen and Nasser call this place home in Egypt and are always excited to share it.
Day 13- Thur. Feb. 27: Old Market of Luxor and Travel to Private Retreat Center (B/L/D)
Today we bid farewell to our companions who are departing. We visit the Old Market in Luxor and have lunch before crossing the river to our home on the West Bank, our private retreat center with its very special energy between the Valleys of Kings and Queens! Ceremony on our rooftop temple and Dinner at the Center.
Day 14- Friday, February 28: Medinet Habu Temple, Isis Temple, Farmland Lunch (B/L/D)
After lunch we visit the Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu. This complex contains the fascinating and important Temple of the Divine Adoratrice, which Kathleen connects with the Magdalene traditions, and here we meet some of the most fascinating, powerful – and nearly forgotten – women in Egyptian history. They are the subjects of Kathleen’s research for a decade. A lunch break takes us into the nearby Egyptian farmland before exploring a very special Isis temple on the edge of the desert. Free afternoon and evening at our retreat center, to relax, have bodywork sessions, swim in the sparkling pool, or meditate on our rooftop temple!
Day 15- Saturday, March 1: Valley of the Kings and Queens (B/L/D)
This morning we start our day with a visit to the Valley of the Queens where the wives of the Pharaohs are buried. In ancient Egypt it was known as Ta-Set-Neferu, which means “place of beauty.” Not only is this area the final resting place of many Egyptian queens, it also has tombs for other royal family members and some high officials. If the tomb of Queen Nefertari is open, we will visit this exquisite place (it is currently under restoration and repair). Alternately, we will visit the Tomb of Seti I, the largest and most dramatic of the great tombs. Lunch at a local restaurant and then a visit to an alabaster factory before returning to the retreat center for a free afternoon and Dinner under the stars.
Day 13- Sun. March 2: Free Day at Retreat Center (B/L/D)
