I invite you to join me on this health and wellness journey that is designed to take a one-time destination to a long lasting life changing experience. Our wellness retreat holiday will focus on an intimate excursion to develop our own ultimate simple wellness program. One that is designed using my concept of “whole fitness”, which is belief in fitness for the body, balance for the mind and ultimately, of peace for the spirit. Our program includes wellness coaching sessions to develop long term health and fitness goals, one-on-one on site customized fitness sessions and creation of a comprehensive fitness program to sustain your goals after you leave the destination.
The Pre/Post Holiday Program
This wellness journey was created with long lasting results being the primary focus. I have developed this unique opportunity to achieve this through pre and post trip fitness coaching services, as well as personalized individual onsite sessions. The fitness coaching service offers the opportunity to develop your health and wellness goals before ever stepping onsite to our Costa Rican resort. It allows you the benefit of creating a well-developed wellness plan with direction and purpose. Post trip coaching serves to provide an ongoing relationship of support, motivation and accountability to ensure your long term success. And best of all, pre and post coaching services can be completed via phone call or virtually.
A little about me
I am an American Council on Exercise Certified Advanced Health & Fitness Expert, Personal Trainer, Fitness Coach, Certified Wellcoach & Certified Weight & Lifestyle Management consultant. Additionally, I have published fitness, health and wellness articles for a variety of venues including Les Nouvelles, Health Tourism Magazine, ECareDiary.org and MySpaShop.com. I am proud author of Oscar and Otis – Fat Fighters, a children’s book about healthy lifestyle choices. I am the owner of Evolution Total Wellness Inc. located in New York, providing health and wellness solutions for individuals and businesses.

TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1. Saturday, July 9: US/San Jose (D) – Tour starts in San Jose http://www.xandari.com/
Depart on your international flight to San Jose. Arrive same day. Clear Immigration, Baggage Claim and Customs Meet your local tour representative who will transfer you to your reserved accommodations. .Free time before meeting with Alicia for a Welcome Dinner. Overnight San Jose.
Day 2. Sunday, July 10: To Manuel Antonio (B/L/D) We depart for Manuel Antonio, one of the most beautiful spots in Costa Rica, Along the way, we will have we will have a special day of cruising onboard the Calypso’s super catamaran Manta Raya. With its expansive deck area that includes 2 deck pools, we will enjoy a level of cruising luxury and comfort in 100% Calypso style. Sip cold wine in the shade of white umbrellas at tables covered with white linen and be served the midday feast A sumptuous delight featured in Gourmet Magazine, starts with a ceviche appetizer and followed by a medley of salads. The main dish is a delightful bar-b-qued breast of chicken covered in a mouthwatering tropical sauce accompanied with julienned vegetables all cooked fresh on the grill by Calypso’s expert crew. Upon our return to the dock, we continue to our hotel after a day of sunbathing, swimming, eating drinking, optional tours and relaxing. Dinner and overnight in Manuel Antonio
Day 3, Monday, July 11 – Day 6, Thursday, July 14: In Manuel Antonio (B + 2 D)
During these next four days, you will take part in Alicia’s Wellness program. It will include “one-on-one” sessions that include review and reaffirmation of your wellness goals previously developed during pre-trip coaching sessions; creation of a fitness routine specific to goals but encompassing your likes and needs. A long term fitness plan is then developed collectively and presented to prior to your departure home for maximized sustainability and success. During your stay, Alicia will host two group dinners.
While not participating on the individual or group sessions,
you can relax at the Spa, or take one of the following Optional tours.
1- Rain Forest Canopy Tour – This is a tour which can be enjoyed by all people who like full adventure. Everyone who travels in suspension cables from platform to platform will enjoy the humid tropical forest. Professional guides will be happy to take you to the primary and secondary forest where you can enjoy different types of animals, birds, insects and plants. There are 16 platforms, four of them are built on the ground and the other twelve hang 90 feet above from the robust trees in the primary forest. DURATION: approximately.4 hours
2- Manuel Antonio National Park – Follow a professional guide through one of Costa Rica’s most famous National Parks. Spectacular natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere attract many visitors to Manuel Antonio annually; explore a park that gathers numerous species of butterflies, monkeys, snakes, orchids, etc. Enjoy a guided walk inside one of the world’s finest parks. DURATION: approximately: 3 ½ Hours
3- ATV’ Adventure Tour – If you are looking for a truly exhilarating adventure our ATV tour this is it! Prepare to get dirty as trek through course mountain terrain, rivers, and muddy trails. Reward yourself with an exotic swim in the “Quebrada de Arroyo” waterfall surrounded by lush vegetation and wildlife. DURATION: approximately 4 hours.
4- Damas Island Estuary Boat Trip –Enjoy in a cover boat tour through the complex and beautiful estuary system of Damas Island. An eco-friendly boat, designed for comfort and security will take you, next to naturalist guides to see a variety of biological relationships between many organisms in this delicate habitat. DURATION: approximately 4 hours..
5- Damas Island Kayaking Tour – Explore the wonderful world of mangroves just 15 minutes away from the Manuel Antonio area. Discover a variety of amazing wildlife. You will float under lush canopy forest, silently watching a spectacular variety of birds, snakes, ant-eaters, and many groups of white face monkeys. DURATION: approximately 4 hours..
6- Horseback Riding Tour – Discover the secrets of the rainforest; learn about exotic and medicinal plants. Give yourself the opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes of the area riding along with the primary rainforest, the view of the valley, the waterfalls, and the spectacular surrounding tropical of rainforest. Just located 25 minutes away from Manuel Antonio. DURATION: approximately 5 1/2 hours.
Day 7, Friday, July 15: In Manuel Antonio (B/D) Today it’s a full day of relaxing, taking in the Spa or lounging by the pool. With the relaxing views of the tropical forest and the sense of the calm breeze rising up from the Ocean, the newly opened “Pacifica Spa” provides an atmosphere that insures total inner peace and relaxation. The elegant boutique Spa has been designed with tranquility in mind. You can swim in the pool or enjoy the fitness center. Enjoy an optional manicure & pedicure, steam room, Swiss shower, whirl pool, plunge pool, lockers, bathrobes and a relaxation and yoga area. Surrounding the spa, you can enjoy a relaxing walk on the trails that lead through the forest and along the cliff with spectacular views to the Manuel Antonio National park and beaches. TERMS & CONDITIONS
Reservations & Payments: A completed application must be submitted with your reservation including a deposit of $300 per person to RMC as soon as possible ensure your place on this great tour. After March 15 reservations are on request.
Final payment due on or before May 6, 2011
Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellation fees are as follows — $100 nonrefundable airfare fee. Additional 25% if cancellation is between 70 and 60 days; From 59 to 45 days, there is a 50% charge. Under 45 days, the charge is 100% of the tour price.
Revisions/Changes: There will be no charge for an initial revision. There will be a charge of $20 for each additional revision. This charge is over and above any charges imposed by airlines, hotels and/or ground operators unused transfers, meals and sightseeing tours cannot be refunded. Unused hotels nights are refunded only if they cover a minimum of three nights and only to the extent the operator receives refund from the hotels, after deducting cancellation charges levied by the hotel, if any. Requests for refund must be submitted in writing along with written proof from the hotel, to RMC within 30 days after return from trip.
Accommodations: The tour operator reserves the right to substitute hotels of similar category.
Air: All airline tickets are subject to each carrier’s Terms & Conditions as to passage and cancellation fees. Tours are sold in conjunction with these approved carrier.
NOTE: Tour based on a minimum participation of 16 participants. If the tour falls below the 16 traveler rate, a supplemental invoice of approximately $95 for 11-15 travelers.
Consumer Disclosure Notice: RMC and/ or their agents act only in capacity as agents for the passenger in all matters connected with hotel accommodations, sightseeing tours and transportation, whether by air, rail, bus, motorcar, boat or any other means and as agent holds itself free of responsibility for any damage occasioned from any cause. RMC and/or its agents will not be responsible for any damages or expenses or inconveniences caused by late departures or change of schedule of or strikes or to their conditions, nor will we be responsible for loss or damage to baggage or any of the passenger’ belongings.
