We visit the many sacred spots, there are many buildings and Pyramids. We have lunch in a restaurant nearby and in the afternoon you have some free time to enter on your own and visit or meditate in this UNESCO World Heritage Site where Archaeologists believe that this ancient Mayan city was founded around 500 AD and came to prominence around 800 AD. After the breakfast, we start a little later in the morning to go to the sacred Pyramids sites of Ek Balam, the startling and amazingly well preserved sculptures uncovered here are exciting to both newcomers and repeat visitors of Mayan sites. It is unlike any other Mayan site. Ek Balam has a feel all its own. The name means “the black jaguar.” The main temple is impressive, both in size and architecture. Its massive size of over 500 feet long and 200 feet wide easily makes it one of the largest structures ever excavated in the Yucatan. We will have lunch at a nearby local restaurant and then head back to our hotel to Valladold in the afternoon for some free time. Valladolid is, without any doubt, one of Mexico’s most magical towns. Whether it’s the joyful way of life or the colonial architecture, there is always something eye-catching about this wonderful place. You should protect your trip investment and yourself in regards to health, property and trip payments.
That is why we provide you with an easy way to contact BMSJ’s preferred insurance provider, Allianz Global Assistance.
