TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Depart the USA
Depart the USA for Peru, arriving in Lima early the following morning to be able to connect with your flight on Day 2 to Cusco that will depart about 10:00 am.
Day 2: To Cusco – Tour Begins (D)Arrive in Lima early enough in the morning to be able to connect with your flight to Cusco that will depart about 10:00 am. Your early morning connecting flight will take you through the Andes to Cusco! As you fly into the valley you’ll be greeted by the towering apus (mountains) with their shimmering caps of snow. You will be met at the airport by a representative of our land operator and taken to your reserved accommodations. This will be a day of rest, so that your lungs and body in general can adjust to the altitude change. In the late afternoon the entire group will gather and go for a light dinner at a restaurant on the Plaza de Armas. The tour begins! Overnight in Cusco.
Day 3: In Cusco/Shaman & Mystical Priest Ceremony (B)
After a leisurely breakfast you’ll board a private bus and venture out into the streets of Cusco. Your first stop will be the Coricancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun, where you’ll explore and examine the significance in Incan cosmology of the various temples contained within it- the rainbow, the lightning, the stars, Venus, the moon, and the sun. Then you’ll go out of Cusco into the surrounding hills to the site of Tambo Machay where a traditional Andean Shaman will lead the group in a chakra cleansing ceremony. Your next stop will be Sacsayhuman, the Temple of Lightning. Here the Shaman will perform a ceremony of offerings to the Pachamama (Mother Earth). After exploring the ruins with your guide you’ll return to Cusco. Along the way, you will stop at what is called the “X-Zone” with its special mystical and esoteric significance and have a ceremony with a mystical priest. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 4: In Cusco/Sacred Valley (B)
After breakfast, leave Cusco and head northwest and down into Sacred Valley of the Incas to small pueblo of Pisac. In the market you’ll see colorful tapestries and clothing, beautiful jewelry and more. Your senses will be delighted by the sights of these beautiful and varied handicrafts. Of course you’ll have time to shop for your perfect purchases! After a light lunch on your own, you’ll drive up into the surrounding mountains to the site of Pisac, dedicated to the Pachamama (the Earth Mother). In the Temple of the Condor you’ll experience the powerful energies of the condor, guardian of the Upper World. In the Temple of the Sun you’ll have time for private meditation to help you connect more fully with the powerful feminine energies of the Pachamama. In the later afternoon you’ll drive further into the Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo, the Lemurian Heart Center site and the Sanctuary of the Wind. During your visit to the site you’ll see the main altar with its gigantic stones, the largest in the entire valley. Return to Cusco in the late afternoon. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 5: In Cusco/ Tour To Machu Picchu (B)
You leave Cusco on the early morning autovagón and venture deep into the mountains to hidden and mysterious Machu Picchu – the 8th Wonder of the World and Crown Jewel of the Andes! You’ll get off the train in Aguas Calientes, the pueblo at the base of the mountain. After a brief stop, you’ll board a bus for the half-hour ride up several switchbacks to the top of the mountain. You’re finally here – among the sacred apus and the clouds – on top of the world and away from civilization. The ancient and enduring energies of transformation welcome you to let go of your worldly concerns and turn deeper within. During the morning your guide will lead the group to all the important power spots in the citadel, the Temples of the Sun and the Moon, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Main Plaza, the Hitching Post of the Sun, the Temple of the Condor, the Pachamama Rock, and more. A buffet lunch is available on the terrace of the on-site hotel. In the afternoon you’ll have free time to explore the citadel on your own, allowing you time to connect with its transformational gifts. In the late afternoon you’ll return to Cusco for dinner on your own and a relaxing evening. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 6: To Juliana/Puno (B)
In the morning you’ll fly from Cusco to Juliana and take a bus to Puno, located at 13,000 feet on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the primary yin (feminine) energy vortex in the Andes. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Puno.
Day 7: In Puno/Sillustani/Aramu Muru’s Doorway (B)
Your day will start with a visit to the amazing area known as Aramu Muru’s Doorway, believed by the local residents and shamans to be an inter-dimensional doorway. (Aramu Muru was an enlightened master who founded the Inca Empire. In the traditional Inca legends he has come to be known as Manco Capac). Here you’ll see rock formations that look like a puma, a frog, a condor, a camel, and the female consort of Aramu Muru, Arama Mara herself! You’ll have time to meditate at the Doorway in order to possibly connect with the inter-dimensional energies that flow into this timeless and ancient area. In the late afternoon you’ll visit the site of Sillustani, ancient and architecturally amazing burial sites to watch the sunset. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Puno.
Day 8: In Puno/To Taquile Island (B/D)
In the morning you’ll go to the lakeshore and board a small boat. You’ll venture out onto the tranquil, yet powerfully intense waters of Lake Titicaca to visit Taquile Island, a place out of time. You’ll climb the sloping path around the backside of the island and enter town square, where you will have the opportunity to meet the island people and shop in their cooperative stores. In the afternoon you’ll return to the hotel. Free time in the evening before a “Farewell to Peru Dinner” at a local restaurant. Overnight in Puno.
Day 9: To Lima/Tour Ends/Return to USA (B)
In the late morning you’ll transfer from the hotel to the airport. Your afternoon flight will take you to Lima, where your tour ends. Day to plan your return flight to the USA.
