One of the foremost experts on Mary Magdalene in the world, Kathleen McGowan has studied the great lady and master teacher for 25 years on four continents. Kathleen’s understanding of the Magdalene traditions and their origins are unparalleled, and she will be sharing them with a limited group for the first time in magical Sedona.
Details and history never before published will be unveiled at this conference.
Kathleen will guide you through essential teachings from the Magdalene and Gnostic Gospels, as well as some passed down through secret societies devoted to Our Lady. She will also share the ancient prayer practice taught to her by a Cathar Master, and first published in her book, The Source of Miracles (an Oprah holiday choice).
Kathleen will also be launching The Magdalene Movement here, a global initiative to bring The Way of Love and the teachings and essence of Magdalene to the world in a greater way. The final day of the seminar will include group activities, community building and brainstorming so that each woman can determine their own participation in the movement as “a Magdalene” in their own communities and beyond.

RETREAT PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Day 1, Friday – December 1: Retreat Starts (D)
Arrival on your own to your reserved accommodations at the Amara Resort & Spa (Shuttle information to resort will be given with Confirmation). Time to refresh yourself before your welcome dinner with wine, a program overview for the weekend by Kathleen and the preliminaries of the Workshop: Mary Magdalene: Fact, Fiction, and Feeling which continues in the morning.
Day 2, Saturday – December 2: Retreat Continues (B/D)
We will all join for breakfast and a full day of workshops and discussions on the Life and Teachings of Mary Magdalene, including some research which Kathleen has never before shared with the public. Lunch is on your own, or you can use that free time to walk on the beautiful resort grounds and assimilate the events of the morning before resuming for a full afternoon where we will work through the Six Petals of the Rose, a Gnostic/Cathar prayer practice related to the Chartres Labyrinth (and Kathleen’s book, The Source of Miracles). In the evening after our group dinner, we will all gather and enjoy a glass of champagne and a bonfire ritual.
Day 3, Sunday – December 3: Retreat Continues (B/D)
After included breakfast, our morning workshop is entitled The Time Returns and will include break out groups for evolving discussions on bringing the Magdalene Movement into our lives and communities.
Lunchtime again is on your own at one of the Resort’s wonderful eating establishments or to enjoy the beauty if the property. In the afternoon, two special treats! The first is a visit to one of Sedona’s most potent concentrated energy fields (Vortex Phenomena) in Sedona to reconnect you with the energetic nurturance of Mother Earth’s NEMFs (natural electro-magnetic fields). This exercise in connecting with our Earth Mother allows us to work with Her pure Life Force. It is energizing and invigorating, allowing us to charge ourselves for the next steps forward on our amazing journey. This is followed by a visit to Angel Valley, a sacred oasis, a vortex, a sanctuary and a temple. Time for all of us to walk the Chartres-style Labyrinth as a community and to experience the Six Petals of the Rose as we have studied them. The guides at Angel Valley tell us their labyrinth was built as a bridge to a new reality … to a 5th dimensional Consciousness and to a world of love and synchronicity.
Return to our hotel for dinner and storytelling around the fire after dessert.
Day 4- Monday – December 4: Retreat Ends Or stay for an Optional Grand Canyon Tour (B)
We will meet for an early final breakfast and Q & A panel lecture led by Kathleen McGowan.
For those who are staying on in Sedona, there will be an Optional Tour to the Grand Canyon. (See details below.)

OPTIONAL POST-RETREAT GRAND CANYON TOUR – Dec. 4 to 5
A perfect way to extend your Retreat stay with a special one-day special tour to the Grand Canyon. After the morning farewell Retreat program, we will board our coach and head north for lunch at the historic Cameron Trading Post. The view of the Little Colorado River Gorge from the deck here is especially striking. After lunch, re-board our coach to head to the Grand Canyon for an afternoon of exploring this magnificent natural wonder. We’ll stop at lookout points along the canyon’s East Rim and South Room for dramatic vistas of gorges below. There’s time at leisure for exploring on your own at your own pace. Throughout the entire day, whether we are exploring by foot or on the coach, our expert guide will teach us about the history, archaeology, geology, flora and fauna of the Grand Canyon and the surrounding area. Late return to our hotel for dinner and our overnight and dinner at our hotel. Tour ends the following morning, December 5.
