SPIRITUAL JOURNEY TO ROME

For the Bosnia & Rome Tour
March 16-27, 2019

A Powerful Sacred Journey to Honor and Celebrate the Memory of Philip Coppens and his devotion to the Power of the Bosnian Pyramid Complex – including a Vernal Equinox celebration with Kathleen McGowan.

Join us in a literally life-changing journey to the beautiful land of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the magical heart shaped country in the heart of old Europe. It is difficult to decipher the many mystical influences that have merged into this tiny Balkan nation, including the extraordinary recent discovery of its 34,000-year-old pyramids. This will be a journey where science meets spirituality, where activism and ecology and magic all come together. During the tour, there will be a very special dedication to Philip Coppens by his widow, Kathleen McGowan, and his very dear friends Sam and Sabina Osmanagich.

Then to Rome, the “Eternal City” and one of the most beautiful capitals in all of Europe. During our 4-day stay here Kathleen will show you the surprising reason why Rome is one of her favorite cities, visiting very special places that she wants to share with you: churches from the earliest days of Christianity with authentic relics and dedications to early female leaders in Christianity! Meet the 9th century pope who built a church in honor of his mother, whom he proclaimed as a bishop! Hear Kathleen’s stories of the first century sisters, coming in a future book, who bravely defied the Romans to become the female first leaders and heroines of Christianity – both of whom have important churches dedicated to them (and were endowed by Matilda of Canossa)! These are astonishing places which are not on “traditional” excursions to Rome, and you will learn about the early Christian traditions here in a way that only Kathleen can provide. Of course we will also visit the Vatican, St Peters (where the statue of Matilda stands), the Trevi Fountain, and eat gorgeous food!

Come on this special spiritual, inspirational journey hosted by Kathleen McGowan in Bosnia & in Rome, shared with Dr. Sam Osmanagich and Isobel Denham.

You will feel the shift in energy immediately! Welcome dinner and presentation/meeting with Kathleen, Isy and Dr Sam. Initial aura/energy readings will be taken with state of the art equipment! (It’s really fascinating!)

Day 2-Sunday, March 17: In Visoko (B/L/D)
bosnian pyramid tourAfter breakfast, it’s off to the “Belvedere” to view the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun from its most stunning vantage point, with Dr Sam providing an introduction to the discovery. Time for a special photo opportunity. Continue with a visit to the archaeological dig and blocks of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, experience “healing section” and oldest concrete on the planet highlighted by the amazing four aspects of discovery: scientific, energy, spiritual and healing. Lunch today will be provided by a local women’s organization, with homemade organic food, including a choice of vegetarian food as well. After lunch, we will have a visit to the Pyramid of the Moon where we will feel see and feel how it differs from the Pyramid of the Sun. A little discussion about the male and female energies of the pyramids with Sam and Kathleen. Afterwards we return to the hotel for free time and dinner.

Day 3-Monday, March 18: In Visoko (B/L/D)
Ravne underground tunnelThis morning’s program takes us to the unprecedented, life-changing experience: the pre-historic underground “Ravne” labyrinth, which includes the meditation space called K-2, known as the “Healing Chamber.” Kathleen says, “No one comes out of Ravne exactly the way they went in! It is an energetic experience that is unequalled on this planet!”

Next, we continue to Ravne 2, “The Energy Park”, a unique and beautiful natural complex located near the entrance of the Ravne underground labyrinth. Conceived and created by Sam and Sabina Osmanagich with the help of international spiritual organizations, it is the prototype for a new type of park: natural beauty combined with spiritually charged and energetically aligned spaces. Truly a special place, and worth the flights to Bosnia just to see what is evolving here and its potential for human spiritual evolution within sacred space.

meditation in VratnicaThe park has a specially created platforms for yoga and meditation plus a multitude of exciting, one of a kind installations, including an “aura amplifier” and stone circles, megalithic blocks, a geo-punctual circle, double stone purification labyrinth, crystal healing installations and a spiral botanical garden. It’s without a doubt the most unique energy park in southern Europe. We will also have a special meditation in Vratnica before returning to our hotel. Dinner this evening is in Sarajevo.

Day 4-Saturday, March 19: In Visoko – Excursion to Zavidovici (B/L/D)
Zavidovici stone sphereWe depart Sarajevo on our coach to explore the Zavidovici stone spheres in the small village of Zavidovici. Here we will examine man-made spherical stone balls. Was there higher intelligence involved with these extraordinary creations? The spherical balls have a purpose as they are considered tools of super technology made from natural material, emanating high cosmic vibrations that will attune us (humans) to a higher dimension. Again, lunch will be prepared by a local community with fresh home-made food from gardens, organic and all-natural ingredients. Kathleen says “The day in Zavidovici always surprises everyone. The place is so powerful, yet in a different way than we experience at the Pyramid Complex. Also, the food is out of this world!” Return to our hotel, with time to rest or have an afternoon discussion with Kathleen before dinner.

Day 5- Wednesday, March 20: In Visoko (B/L/D)
Visit the Air-Spa and Healing Forest at the Ravne complex with a meditation session. Today, Sam, Sabina and Kathleen will hold the Opening Ceremony of the Meditation Garden in the energy park ‘Ravne 2’ dedicated to Philip Coppens. We will honor Philip’s commitment to these Pyramids and to Dr Sam’s work, as one of his last wishes was for Kathleen to continue to bring people to Bosnia that they may experience these energies in person. Lunch in park ‘Ravne 2’. We will conclude this amazing day with an evening healing session in Underground Labyrinth Ravne for the Vernal Equinox!

Day 6: Thursday, March 21: To Radimlja, Stolac, Daorson, Buna and Mostar (B/L/D)
Morning departure with our first stop at Radimlja with its mysterious, inscribed stones, including one which translates to The Time Returns! Officially this site is described as necropolis and considered as one of the most valuable monuments of the medieval period in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dr Sam will give a fascinating, scientific argument proving that these monoliths are far more ancient that their current purpose that he feels has been misinterpreted. This is a powerful, otherworldly place which must be experienced. Then to the nearby little town Stolac, where a very mysterious and ancient archaeological site is located, and we stop for a locally prepared lunch.

After lunch, we continue to Daorson, the spectacular “Megalithic City”, built 2500 years ago. Again, we a chance to hear Dr Sam’s theory that the age is wrong, and that this site is part of European Megalithic culture older than 5,000 years. The town had the features of a Hellenistic city. Its high degree of culture and civilization is evidenced by the fact it minted its own coins and made complex, artistically-decorated buckles and clasps and pottery vessels, by graffiti on fragments, and by pieces of stone from human statues about 6 feet in height. This is one of the great archaeological secrets of Europe, but also one of the great energetic centers. What were they doing here? The power of the place reminds Kathleen of the temples in Egypt. We will have a group discussion about what everyone thinks and feels about this amazing place!

Continue to magical Mostar, the regional capital of the Herzegovina region of this alluring country and situated in the heart of the Western Balkans. Of course, the main attraction is its world-famous bridge that we will visit the next morning, Overnight and dinner at our hotel in Mostar.

Day 7: Friday, March 22: In Mostar and return to Sarajevo (B/D)
It is hard to sum up the uniqueness of this multi-faceted city – East and West meet on its gleaming, turquoise river in a blend of oriental architecture, Mediterranean air and Balkan beauty. This morning we will have a tour that will immerse us in other sights around its Ottoman Old Town like the Old Bazaar, the Turkish House and one of the many fascinating mosques, which have stood in this city for hundreds of years.  Return to Sarajevo for a “birthday for Kathleen” dinner at the intimate ‘Green Valley’ restaurant, one of her favorite places to eat in the world, with the music and overnight.

Day 8: Saturday, March 23: In Sarajevo (B/D)
Sarajevo MosqueAfter breakfast, a walking tour of one of the great European capitals, Sarajevo, featuring the Old Town with Ottoman architecture, the largest Mosque in the Balkans, Roman Catholic cathedral and Eastern Orthodox cathedral all within 300 foot radius. Also visit the infamous Bridge where Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, the incident which began World War One. Free time for lunch and magical shopping in the markets. We end our stay in Bosnia with a farewell dinner at the local Kibe Mahala restaurant with its stunning panoramic views of Sarajevo and the surrounding mountains.

Day 9: Sunday, March 24: Bosnia Tour Ends. OR Depart for Rome*** (B)
NOTE: For those not going on to Rome, your tour ends after breakfast and transfer on your own to the airport.

***Day 9: Sunday, March 24:  Depart for Rome (B)
Morning at leisure. Then transfer to the airport for our flight to Rome. On arrival, after clearing Immigration we will meet our guide for a panoramic sightseeing tour of Rome on our way to the hotel. This Introduction to the city will take in a mix of Rome’s classic sights: the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Ponte Sant’Angelo, lined with angel sculptures by Bernini and of course views of the Roman Forum and Colosseum. After we check into our hotel we will meet with Kathleen and have a welcome cocktail at our beautiful and well located boutique hotel as she discusses your next few days in Italy’s capital city.

Day 10: Monday, March 25: In Rome (B)
Basilica of the Holy Cross of GerusalemmeWe will begin the morning with a special series of important churches, carefully selected by Kathleen to illustrate the importance of women in the early church. We will also be visiting sights which hold the most important relics pertaining directly to Jesus and the crucifixion. Our first stop is one of the most important churches in the world, the Basilica of the Holy Cross of Gerusalemme, which holds the relics of the crucifixion that Saint Helena, the mother of Constantine, brought back from the Holy Land in the 4th century. Within this basilica are pieces of the crown of thorns, a large piece of the true cross, a crucifixion nail, but perhaps most important is the “titular” – the INRI sign which Pontius Pilate created to be nailed to the cross. It is a stunning relic, historically and spiritually.

Just a few blocks away is the tiny chapel of the Scala Sancta, the holy stairs, also brought from Jerusalem by Saint Helena. These were the stairs of Pilate’s palace, and the placed where Jesu was sentenced. Pilgrims come from around the world to climb these stairs on their knees. We will take the small staircase to the side for foot traffic, to view the important artwork that is kept in a vault and believed to be a portrait of Jesus created by St Luke.

Basilica of Santa PrassedeThe Basilica of Santa Prassede is our next stop, literally Kathleen’s favorite church in the world. The current structure was restored and expanded in the 9th century by Pope Paschal II in honor of his mother, Theodora, and devoted to an extremely important first century saint, Prassede. Kathleen will tell the incredible story of Prassede and her sister, who she discovered in her research through Matilda of Canossa. The mosaics here are stunning and hold some important surprises. The basilica contains another of St Helena’s relics, half of the pillar to which Jesus was shackled during the flagellation on Good Friday. The other half is in Jerusalem.

gallery of maps vatican museumAfter a break for lunch on our own, we head to the Vatican with your skip-the-line tour. As we to step inside to visit the vast Vatican Museum complex, seeing highlights such as Raphael’s Rooms, the Gallery of the Maps, the Tapestry Gallery, and the Sistine Chapel with its lauded Michelangelo frescoes. Our day tour ends with a walk around St. Peter’s Basilica to see La Pietà, Bernini’s bronze baldachin, the papal tombs – and the statue of Matilda of Canossa. Return to our hotel in the early evening, where we have a chance to experience some of Rome’s wonderful restaurants on our own.

Day 11- Tuesday, March 26:  In Rome – Excursion to Pompeii (B/L/D)
PompeiiIt’s a full day of touring as we depart our hotel for Pompeii, a part of an ancient Roman city destroyed and buried by the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius in 79 A.D. The remainder of the uncovered city is today buried under the new Pompeii rebuilt many years subsequent to the eruption. Although this tragic event ended the lives of 20,000 Pompeian residents, the ash that buried the town served as a sort of mummification for the entire city. The eruption, which buried the town in ash, actually captured a moment in time. Under the ash everything remained as it was at the time of the eruption. We will have lunch in the Pompeii area before we make our way to Rome in the early evening for dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 12- Wednesday, March 27: Tour ends after breakfast (B)
Our tour ends after breakfast in Rome.
