1st Day, Depart USA
Depart USA today for your connecting flights to Bangkok

2nd Day,  En Route
We lose one day crossing the International dateline (which we gain back on our return).

3rd Day, To Bangkok & Chaing Mai
Upon arrival in the morning, we will be assisted through customs and immigrations before continuing on a  short flight North to Chaing Mai. Upon arrival, transfer to your reserved accommodations.  Time to rest and relax before departing for a special welcome to Thailand dinner and local folklore show.

4th Day, In Chaing Mai
A most exciting day as we depart our hotel for a special treat as we heard out of town to board elephants for a gentle ride through the jungle.  Continue your jungle journey as you cruise down the river on bamboo rafts.  Upon embarkation, our coach awaits us to take us to lunch and a visit at the Orchid farm.  After lunch, we will visit the Chaing Mai temples including the sacred Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Here we will be able to make a gold leaf offering on one many of the religious statues. Return to our hotel via Wat Chedi Luang, the site of a formerly massive pagoda that was destroyed in a 1545 earthquake.

5th Day, To Mae Hong Son
Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Mae Hong Song, the tiniest and most charming small hill town that has not disturbed an enduring sense of a lost world with its breathtaking mountain scenery.  After checking into our hotel we will have a sightseeing tour that will visit 3 of the best known temples of Burmese origin, and where we will have an opportunity of making an offering to “wish fulfilling Buddha”.

6th Day, In Mae Hong Son

A day of leisurely trekking in this Shargri-La -like valley as we take a long-boat cruise along the Pai River.  Then change to Elephant and vehicle transportation to reach the Padong Hilltribe. The Padongs are an ancient tribe and typify the very essence of the North. Time to explore before returning to our hotel and an afternoon to relax.

7th Day, To Bangkok
After a leisurely breakfast, we will depart for the airport and our connecting flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival, we are escorted to our reserved accommodations and time for some independently exploring. For dinner, try one of the local charming restaurants followed by a visit to the night market for some great bargains.

8th Day, In Bangkok
Our morning tour will be to the spectacular Grand Palace and the adjoining Wat Phra Keo Temple, home if the Kings of Siam.  It is regarded as the most important temple in Thailand.   Return to our hotel for a free afternoon of independent activities.

9th Day, In Bangkok
After breakfast, we board our coach for a ride to the floating market of Damnern Saduak where the boat people sell their wares from boat to boat. Return to Bangkok with a stop at Phra Pathorn Chedi, which is the tallest Buddhist monument in the world. Lunch at the Rose Garden before coming to your hotel to relax.  This evening, we will have a farewell dinner on a floating rice barge.

10th Day: Depart for USA:

Departure to the airport for our connecting flights back to the States. Same day arrival.
