A few miles east of the modern city of Oaxaca, Mexico is Monte Alban<\/a>. At an elevation of more than 6,000 feet, the citadel was the ancient capital of the Zapotecs, the indigenous people who still inhabit the area.<\/p>\n The top of a mountain was flattened in order to build the complex that includes two huge truncated pyramids, hundreds of terraces and a dozen clusters of buildings.<\/p>\n Archaeologists believe Monte Alban\u2019s construction was started around 500 B.C. and the architectural styles reflect different degrees of refinement. Surprisingly, the older buildings look superior to the newer ones. Ancient Aliens<\/em> researcher David Childress reported, \u201cIt was evident that a huge megalithic city had once existed here, but was destroyed. Later it had been rebuilt, but by considerably less sophisticated builders.\u201d<\/p>\n How is it possible that Zapotec pyramid builders 2,500 years ago were more skilled than their counterparts a millennium later? Could the first architects have had help from above? Did extra-terrestrials provide some expertise?<\/p>\n The Zapotecs call themselves \u201cBe\u2019ena\u2019 Za\u201d, which means People of the Clouds. Zapotec tradition says their ancestors were supernatural beings who lived in the clouds.<\/p>\n Last Wednesday (June 3, 2021) ABC News<\/a> reported that the U.S. government is about to release unclassified information about UFOs. Specifically, intelligence agencies will make a presentation to Congress later this month about what the Pentagon is calling \u201cUnexplained Aerial Phenomena\u201d, or UAPs.<\/p>\n Will it finally be revealed that ETs have helped shape life on Earth? Excavation of the site started in 1931, and in 1932 a mysterious network of stone-lined underground passages was discovered beneath the buildings. In them were skeletons, funeral urns and incense burners.
