Kathleen McGowan announced that her 2023 Magdalene Movement retreat will be held in Santa Fe, New Mexico this December. The New York Times bestselling author will lead a celebration of the life and teachings not only of Our Lady Magdalena, but also the women who carried on these traditions, from the Cathar leaders to Anne Boleyn. During the workshops, Kathleen will debut Part Two of her novel series,\u00a0The Boleyn Heresy: The Time Returns.<\/em><\/p>\n

Santa Fe was chosen in part because of its picturesque location, world-renowned cuisine and fascinating history that make it magical, exuberant, colorful and inspirational. Kathleen says that the countryside is very similar in energy to the Southwest of France, where Magdalene lived and taught for decades.<\/p>\n

\"Longhorn<\/p>\n

One highlight of the program will be a visit to Ghost Ranch, made famous by the painter Georgia O’Keeffe.<\/p>\n

There is also an optional post-retreat tour that includes a Southwest cooking class, visits to Pueblo cliff dwellings, historic missions, and even a trading post with a museum of Western movie costumes and Native American jewelry.<\/p>\n
