Spiritual Travel Blog Launched

Spiritual Travel Blog
Robert Scheer, Communication Director of Body Mind Spirit Journeys, at a temple in India

Spiritual travel to sacred sites has been my primary interest as a travel writer for almost 14 years. So when Body Mind Spirit Journeys asked me to launch their new weblog, I jumped at the chance. As an addition to the main website, this blog will do much more than provide updates on the various Sacred Journeys, Tours for Women and Special Events offered by BMSJ. It will report news about what’s happening at popular travel destinations, industry trends and details on the activities of popular tour hosts.

More importantly, this is the start of a new dialog – a two-way communication process between us and you. We will be publishing photos, videos and anecdotes from people who go on BMSJ tours. And we will be encouraging visitors to post their comments, questions and opinions relating to the ideas discussed here.

One of the multitude of reasons why people make spiritual journeys is for the internal voyage. This is nothing new. Since ancient times Native Americans and other traditional people have been going on vision quests and walkabouts – gaining knowledge about themselves with the help of Mother Earth and her places of power.

This new website is a platform for spiritual travelers to help like-minded readers learn about their experiences. So, if you have gone on a pilgrimage that made an important change to your life, we would love for you to share that story online.

Our focus includes a wide spectrum of sacred sites and places of power, from ancient stone circles in England to the Pyramids of Egypt to inter-dimensional portals in Peru, we will talk about holy wells, medicine wheels, dolmens, forest groves, temples, shrines, cathedrals, canyons, and a host of other pilgrimage destinations.

This journey of thousands of miles has now taken its first step. May our travels together bring wisdom.
