YOUR ITINERARY

1st day, To Casablanca
Board your jet for an overnight trip to Morocco

2nd day, To Rabat
Morning arrival in Casablanca where you will be met by our local host and escorted to your coaches for the short journey to Rabat.  Time to freshen up  before we have  a tour of  the “garden city” and capital of the Kingdom of Morocco.  You will see the Kasbah of the Oudayas, the walls of the Mechouar and the Hassan Tower, the city’s invariable symbol situated on the crest of a hill. A bit of time to relax, there will be a special “Welcome  to Morocco” dinner.

3rd day, To Moulay, & The Imperial cities of Meknes and Fez
After breakfast, we depart to the holy city of Moulay Idriss, where the founder of Islam in Morocco is buried.  Stop in the Roman city of Volublis, before continuing to the Imperial city of Meknes,  considered the “Versailles of Morocco”  and surrounded by 25 miles of triple walls.  Here you will see the Bab Mansour and the Mallah.  Then continue to Fez for dinner and your overnight.

4th day, In Fez
You will start the day of the city that is the oldest of the Imperial cities and considered the cultural, spiritual and religious center of the Kingdom. Tour will include a visit to the fascinating Mellah, the Jewish Quarter and its ancient cemetery. See the Karaouine Mosque with its roof of emerald green tiles and the splendid Nejjarine Fountai and the Medersas (religious Islamic University).  In the afternoon, stop at the Dyers Tannery-the view is amazing.  Dinner on your own this evening.

5th day, To Marrakesh
Depart for Marrakech via the Berber village of Immouzer du Kandra, travel through Cedar forests and  the scenic region of the Middle Atlas mountains as you reach Beni Mellal where you will  enjoy lunch. Suddenly you will notice the changes in the scenery as the earth becomes redder and the lush green palm groves are scattered everywhere. Late in the day we arrive in Marrakech and dinner at your hotel.

6th day, In Marrakesh
Known as the “Pearl of the South” was founded at the end of the 11th century. Your tour will visit the famous Saadian tombs, the Dar Si Said Museum, the Agdal and Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia, the Bahia & Bedii Palaces. In the afternoon, you are on your own to shop and visit the souks and the famous Djemma El Fna Square where fortune tellers, acrobats, vendors, snake charmers and magicians put on a never-ending show.

7th day, To Safii & Casablanca
A historical day as we depart for Safir, a major slave port with much history for African- Americans.  Continue to Casablanca where our sightseeing tour will highlight the United Nations Square, the Royal Palace, the Medina and the Corniche with its uninterrupted sweep of the beaches.  You will also see the impressive Hassan II Mosque, 2nd largest Mosque in the world.  This evening a special farewell to Morocco dinner.

8th day, To USA
Depart for the airport where we board our jet for the flight back to JFK.
