late afternoon. (This will be a traditional tour). Evening and dinner on
your own. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 4,
Monday: In Cusco / City Ruins Tour (B)
Get
ready for a spiritual day of touring. You will definitely need a sun
hat each day. AND, remember to use sun-screen.
Start at
the most important sacred sites
in the
Cusco area, as you
venture out into the
streets of Cusco. Your first stop will be the Coricancha, the Inca
Temple of the Sun, where you’ll explore and examine the significance in
Incan cosmology of the various temples contained within it - the
rainbow,
the lightning, the stars, Venus, the moon, and
the sun. Then you’ll go out of
Cusco
into the surrounding hills to the site of Tambo
Machay where
a traditional Andean Shaman will lead the group in a chakra
cleansing ceremony. Your next stop will be Sacsayhuman, the
Temple of
Lightning.
Moon Temple,
here the Shaman will perform a ceremony of offerings to the
Pachamama (Mother Earth). After exploring the ruins with your guide
you’ll return to Cusco. Along the way, you will stop at what is called the
“X-Zone” with its special mystical and esoteric significance
and have a ceremony with a mystical priest. Lunch on your own. You’ll
have free time this afternoon and evening to visit the colonial
cathedrals, archaeology or art museum, or shop in
the traditional Andean marketplace. Dinner on your own. Your Guide
can suggest local restaurants, or you can eat in the hotel’s delightful
dining room. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 5,
Tuesday: In Cusco / Tour to Machu Picchu (B)

the hotel for the nearby rail station and board the “Backpacker train”
as you venture deep into the mountains to hidden and mysterious
Machu Picchu
- the 8th Wonder of the World and Crown Jewel of the Andes! You’ll
get off the train in Aguas Calientes, the pueblo
at the base of
the mountain.
After a brief stop, you’ll
board a bus
for the half-hour ride up several switchbacks
to the top of the mountain. You’re finally here - among the sacred apus
and the clouds on - top of the world and away from civilization. The
ancient and enduring energies of transformation
welcome you to let go of your worldly
concerns and
turn deeper within. During the morning your guide will lead the group
to all the important
power spots
in the citadel, the Temples of the Sun and the Moon, the Temple of
the Three Windows, the Main Plaza, the Hitching Post of the
Sun, the Temple of the Condor,
the Pachamama Rock, and more. A buffet lunch is available on the

your own. Overnight in Puno.
Day 7,
Thursday: In Puno / Sillustani / Aramu Muru’s Doorway (B)

(Aramu Muru was an enlightened master who founded the Inca
Empire. In the traditional Inca legends he has come to be known as
Manic Cap). Here you’ll see rock formations
that look like a puma, a frog, a condor,
a camel, and the female consort
of Aramu Muru,
Arama
Mara herself! You’ll have time to meditate at the Doorway in
order to possibly connect with the inter-dimensional energies that
flow into this timeless and ancient area. In the late afternoon you’ll visit

burial sites,
to watch the sunset. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Puno.

sloping path around the backside of the island and enter town square,
where you will have the opportunity to meet the island people and
